Supervised drug injecting rooms and plans to decriminalise small amounts of drugs, including heroin and cocaine for personal use. That's the shift in drug policy on the cards in the south. The Minister in charge of the National Drugs Strategy, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, announced the radical move on Monday and says medically supervised injection rooms "will happen next year".
The first is set to open in Dublin followed by Cork, Galway and Limerick.
