Army Spokesperson speaks out on Situation in Mundri

The army says the continued insecurity in Mundri, Western Equatoria was sparked off when a group of armed youth attacked the army base in Mundri.

Aguer confirms there are defectors from the army who could be involved.

Over the past weeks, thousands of people have fled their homes into the bushes.

Army spokesperson Col Philip Aguer spoke with Sebit William on the Miraya Breakfast Show

He also says the army is ready to conduct investigations into reports that SPLA soldiers of the commando unit based there are directly involved in the insecurity.
