EXCLUSIVE: Vice President Wani Igga speaks on SPLM party structures, peace agreement and economy
Vice President James Wani Igga says the restructuring of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party will not involve the dismissal of the party members who are currently in the SPLM- in the opposition.
The National Liberation Council, held an extraordinary meeting chaired by President Salva Kiir last Friday, and resolved to dissolve the SPLM general secretariat and embark on a restructuring exercise.
Vice President Igga said the reorganization of the party will respect the Arusha intra-party agreement which resolved to mend fences between the party factions.
In this exclusive interview with Radio Miraya’s Gabriel Joseph Shadar, Vice President Igga also talks about the economy and the peace process.
