Like any seven-year-old girl, little Katie Parke loves playing with her friends at school but until recently that was practically impossible because of a rare life-threatening lung condition she developed as a toddler. Now her mother says her life has changed significantly after doctors at Great Ormond St Children's Hospital used a 3D printer to make a model of her windpipe, before carrying out the vital surgery.
