Thousands of IDPs in Southern Unity in dire need of humanitarian assistance

An estimated 28,000 people who fled fighting in Southern Unity state are camped in Panyijar County in desperate need of assistance.

Jacob Dol Kam, a local Relief Coordinator in Nhial payam, says the populations left their homes in Leer Mayiendit and Koch Counties.

Dol Kam says the populations are finding it difficult to survive without the basics of shelter and water.
