PLP party calls for full implementation of Local Government Act

The People’s Liberal party (PLP) is calling for the full implementation of the South Sudan Local Government Act.

The act among many things calls for local authorities to be elected by the people rather than appointed.

In an interview with Radio Miraya, PLP President Peter Mayen said implementation of the act would promote democracy.
