Authorities in Wondruba payam of Central Equatorial State say the town is now a 'ghost-town' following clashes there two weeks ago.

The Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan Bishop Paul Yugusuk toured Lainya, Wunduruba, Mangkoro, Mengele and Katigiri areas to see for himself the impact of the recent fighting on the communities.

Thousands of people have been displaced and are in dire need of humanitarian assistance.

Bishop Yugusuk says the recent clashes involved a commando unit of the SPLA.
