Qatari government commits US 1mln towards food assistance in South Sudan
The World Food Program says a 1 million dollar donation from the Qatari government will go a long way in addressing the food crisis in South Sudan.
Qatar committed 1 million US dollars to the World Food Programme to go towards providing food for needy populations.
Latest estimates from humanitarian partners say up to 4.6 million people are suffering from crisis or emergency levels of food insecurity.
George Fominyen is the spokesperson of the World Food Program office in South Sudan.
