Northern Ireland needs more GPs to cut spiralling waiting lists and enable family doctors to spend more time with their patients. That's according to the Royal College of General Practitioners in Northern Ireland. Today they will launch an action plan which highlights a number of urgent actions required to address the problems facing Gps here as they struggle to meet the growing patient demand of a growing and ageing population.
