The UK embassy in South Sudan is encouraging the government of South Sudan to sign the peace agreement, to allow people return home and rebuild their lives. The deputy head of the UK embassy in Juba, Richard Croker, said the peace agreement provides a framework for the transitional government, adding that its implementation is crucial for the future of South Sudan.

Ambassador Croker says he remains optimistic that the government of South Sudan would sign the agreement because the people are calling for an end to the war and focus on their development and their prosperity.
