Utah leaders talk about mine pollution flowing down the San Juan River.

A plume of contaminated water is making its way from Colorado into Utah and beyond. The pollution comes from an abandoned mine clean-up operation.

The Environmental Protection Agency admits it is to blame for the spill. Utah Department of Environmental Quality executive director Alan Matheson joined Brian and Amanda to discuss what happened and what’s being done to solve the problem.
