She was born in a time when Edward the seventh was on the throne, Louis Bleriot flew across the English Channel, the first film was shown in technicolour and the suffragettes were campaigning for a woman's right to vote. And while empires have fallen, two world wars have been fought and Kings and Queens have come and gone, Ballymena lady, Maud Nicholl is still standing strong. She recently celebrated her 106th birthday and is fiercely independent - living on her own, travelling to her favourite ice cream parlour for a 99 and making sure she has a walk a day. Our reporter, Nicola Weir, went to see Maud who let her into the secret of a long life and why she's hoping a trip abroad might be on the cards.
