After the signing of Sol Bamba on a permanent deal, Leeds United followed this up with the news that Nicola Salerno has left the club by mutual consent. Speaking to John Isherwood and Joe Rawson on Good Morning Yorkshire, our Italian football correspondent Ema Guilianelli discussed Salerno's departure and how his dismissal of assistant coach Steve Thompson appeared to be a catalyst for his departure. Ema tells us that he understands that this decision affected his relationship with Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino and his time at the club appeared to be numbered. His lack of knowledge of the English game appears to have accelerated his departure. Ema speculates that Salerno could now move on to Watford to work with their Italian owners in the Premier League.

Also discussed is the signing of Sol Bamba, which appears to have been Salerno's final act at Leeds. #LUFC
