Noreen Meets Hilina Mulatu

In this edition of Noreen Meets...I speak to Hilina Mulatu, an Ethiopian who first came to Antwerp in 2004 while working for the United Nations. After a brief stay in America, Hilina returned to Belgium to try and make a life for herself here. Having to wait one year before she was granted an ID card, she spent that year following a language course and an intensive Integration course, while helping out as a volunteer in a coffee shop. When Hilina finally received her official Belgian Identity card she went on to study and work in Belgium and the Netherlands and has recently realised her dream job, becoming the owner of her own coffee shop, selling Ethiopia coffee to the residents and tourists of Antwerp. One month after the opening of Abol - Bread and Coffee, I caught up with Hilina in her beautiful, chocolate brown, coffee shop on Oude Koornmarkt in Antwerp city and it was here she told me her story. https://www.facebook.com/Abolcoffee
