Reaction to controversial anti-rape poster - victim blaming or sensible advice?
Critics have hit out at an 'anti rape' poster put up by Sussex police. It featured two young women and asked "which one of your mates is most vunerable on a night out? The one you leave behind." The poster also says 'many sexual offences could be prevented."
The poster has caused fury as some campaigners claim the message suggests 'women are responsible' for becoming victims.
But police argued that they would be failing in their duty if they did not urge potential victims to take steps to minimise risks. After a backlash police have now decided to withdraw the poster. #BBCNolan
