Liverpool Life podcast, week end' March 20th, 2015
Not a dry eye in the studio as we present our final weekly news podcast for this year. And our reporter Ruby Molyneux only JUST kept dry when she ventured to Sefton Park in search of bread and ducks. No, wait! There’s a serious issue here, so naturally we are all over it.
Perhaps more serious though were the latest stat’s on fans of our local football teams who have banned from the stands, but is the problem getting worse – we’re o the case. Less controversial are the booming tourism figures: OK - Liverpool didn’t quite get into the national top 10 attractions but the city is no slouch when it comes to visitors. We find out more.
We probably don’t have to tell you it’s been St. Patrick’s Day this week – but there’s more to the culture and history of Liverpool’s Irish communities than a party; Luke Holliday has been talking to those who follow the trends and the influences of both parts of Ireland in the city.
Plus, we have a full round-up of local sports’ news and one or two ideas of where to go and what to do in this great, thriving, buzzing city of ours.
Thanks very much from the team for stopping by and listening in – this week and any other weeks you’ve popped on the ONLY weekly audio round-up of news, views, interviews, and features on life in Liverpool.
Thanks to all our contributors over the last six months or so who have given their time in helping our students gain experience in audio news-gathering and presenting. MUCH appreciated!
