Cruise ship Britannia: Queen names luxury vessel

It cost $825m dollars to build.

It can carry more than three and a half thousand passengers.

And today, Britannia, the new flagship liner for P&O Cruises was officially launched by Queen Elizabeth.

For decades now, cruise ships have faced stiff competition from airlines. David Dingle is UK chairman of Carnival Cruise Ships, which owns the just-launched Britannia.

Mike Johnson asked him how cruise ships, and cruising, have changed since their heyday in the 1950s.
