Russian state workers take 10% pay cut

Austerity is in the air in Russia - partly because of the falls in the global oil price, and partly because of the sanctions on Russia over Mr Putin's actions in Ukraine. Members of the Duma, the lower house of parliament, recently took a 10% cut to their pay - now all civil servants are to follow suit. The BBC's Roger Hearing speaks to Oleg Buklemishev, an economist at Moscow University and Arkady Ostrovsky, Moscow Bureau chief for the Economist.
