3. Mark Cavendish doubles up in Dubai

February 12 | The new Telegraph Cycling Podcast reflects on Mark Cavendish’s return to form at the Dubai Tour, where he won two stages as well as the overall title. It was a race that demonstrated Cavendish’s full range, from his sprinting prowess to his ability to climb and suffer with the all-rounders. It also saw his Etixx-QuickStep lead-out train in fine working order, with a reprisal of his old double act with Mark Renshaw, who led Cavendish to some of his finest wins at the HTC-High Road team.

Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe ask whether this means Cavendish can beat Marcel Kittel in the Grand Tours, and also whether he could be in contention to win his second Milan-San Remo.

And they discuss the latest attempt at the Hour Record – this one a success. Rohan Dennis, who attempted it a week after his fellow Australian, Jack Bobridge, went agonisingly close, broke the record with 52.491km.
