10 years on – Tsunami survivor Rob Forkan tells his story
Next month will see the 10 year anniversary of the devastating Boxing Day tsunami that claimed nearly a quarter of a million lives. The natural disaster and the human tragedy that unfolded stunned the world. Joining me today is Rob Forkan, who was on holiday with his family in Sri Lanka when the tsunami hit and changed his life forever. He survived along with his two brothers and sister - but their parents did not. After ending up orphans themselves, Rob and his brother Paul founded a charity and plan to mark the anniversary of the tragedy by opening a children's home in Goa.
