Richard Stilgoe

It’s hard to believe that in 1985 BBC Radio 2’s music output was still punctuated with specially recorded sessions due to needletime restrictions. Most of the overnight programmes such as Nightride relied heavily on these sessions and non-needletime records as Richard Stilgoe so wonderfully recounts in his song written for the Radio Festival.
