Reliving memories at the National Railway Museum in York

It was the museum that inspired me to visit so many more and ignited an interest in transport which has survived to this day. So, on a rainy Saturday in York, with a few hours to kill before meeting up with my friends Mark and Qing, what could have been better than a wander around the National Railway Museum?

In terms of layout and theming little had changed since my last visit almost a decade ago, however it was unfortunately a lot darker and more cluttered than I remember it being (although this may just be my sight changing) and proved to be extremely difficult to navigate. One of these days I will accept that solo visits to such places don't really work for me anymore so, perhaps for the last time, here's a recording of me getting very lost and finding out precious little - albeit in one of the best museums in the UK.
