Should people with visible tattoos be asked to cover them up by their employers? The question comes after a trainee teaching assistant was asked to cover up tattoos on a school placement. Charlotte Tumilty was told by the school that the tattoos on her hands and neck were not appropriate. The school said "We have a code of conduct, part of which requires members of staff with tattoos to cover them up. But is this right that an employer can make these demands? Or is it discrimination?
