Short cut: Millar at the Bec Hill Climb
In this special short episode of The Telegraph Cycling Podcast Richard Moore took a trip into Surrey for the Bec Hill Climb.
Hill Climbs are a season-ending tradition for British cyclists – brutally two or three minute time trials held on short, steep climbs – and for David Millar the Bec brought down the curtain on his long professional career.
Richard samples the atmosphere and speaks to race organiser (and Garmin-Sharp soigneur) Garry Beckett, Millar's sister Fran and David himself as his career ends as it began – with a time trial on home counties roads.
