Lego is the world's most successful toy company - its brand thrives on being seen as the maker of a wholesome, safe product that millions of children couldn't be without. They don't enjoy being drawn into politics, so when Greeenpeace started a series of protests aimed at getting Lego to end its fifty-year co-promotion contract with the oil company Shell, Lego was very unhappy.

Now the campaign seems to have worked: Lego say they will not renew their contract that involved the toys being sold at Shell petrol stations all over the world.
