Derry City the latest council to threaten monthly bin collection

Derry city council could introduce once a month bin collections in the future "if recycling targets are not met." That's the message from Northern Ireland's second biggest city. On Monday we revealed how Banbridge council is to start a trial scheme where bins are collected once every four weeks. We also brought you the news Coleraine council could follow suit.
