BiH 2014: A step too far?

It had all gone so smoothly. The airport staff had handed us over to the taxi driver, who'd sped us into the center of Sarajevo without a hitch. Turning off the main road along the river Mark spotted our hotel at the end of the road, before we were driven around the back to unload the bags and check in. The staff seemed to be expecting us and our room was lovely, with two large beds, air conditioning and a modern bathroom.

So why, ten minutes after arriving, were we feeling so paranoid?

As time progressed and the situation became clearer our emotions changed from confusion to irritation to a degree of admiration for a culture which could take a step which would never have happened in the UK. But was it a step too far?
