BiH 2014: A Bosnian taxi ride

It's a little after 3pm and Mark and I have been on the ground in Sarajevo for less than fifteen minutes. Having been taken through the diplomatic channel at Passport Control however, we are already on the road heading for our base for the next three days, Hotel Old Town. The most striking thing about the taxi, whose driver seems to be on the phone constantly but speaks little English, is the smell which is reminiscent of Private Hire cars all over the world. As we pass through New Sarajevo towards the historical centre the imposing mountains pull in closer and the apartment blocks give way to smaller buildings along the river bank.

This is a relatively short recording, largely taking in the sounds of part of the journey, but including a few exchanges between Mark and i.
