James Tormé Speaks to John Altman

Altman is a hero of British #Jazz, having worked tirelessly behind the scenes with any number of musicians (from Eric Clapton to Van Morrison, from Hot Chocolate to Monty Python). He has won #BAFTA and #Oscar awards for his film soundtracks, including Titanic in 1997. He has been credited with launching several high profile artists including Amy Winehouse, as well as scoring over 4000 commercials and jingles.
He and #JamesTorme are old friends, and so they spend an hour chewing the fat, discussing the very essence of jazz - its history and its relevance in today's culture, plus Altman's undying love of sax.
