Northumberland 2014: in the beginning there was Robert, his mum and a guide dog

Finally, after what seemed like forever, the summer holidays were here, heralding the beginning of a week long adventure in the north with my guide dog, Vance, and my mum. Though titled here as Northumberland 2014, we never actually stay in the county during our journey, visiting hotels in Cumbria, the Scottish Borders and Yorkshire, but it hosted a number of day trips and was our primary focus.

In this recording I check in on points along the road from Richmond to our first hotel, a little east of Carlisle.
