Nigeria launches Safe Schools to combat insurgency threat

Some 10 weeks after 200 Nigerian girls were abducted from their schools by #BokoHaram terrorists, #Nigeria has been hit by a new crisis; millions of school children are not able to learn because their schools are closed for fear of more terrorist attacks. Nigeria's Minister of Finance Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala leads the safe schools initiative designed to make school safer in areas affected by insurgency. She spoke to the BBC’s Ibrahim Shehu Adamu about the programme.
