Plan to pull down peace walls doomed – Community Relations Chief @PeterOsborne_
Today is the start of Community Relations Week here in Northern Ireland. But the chairman of the Community Relations Council, which spearheads the initititive, says the £2million it receives from the Office of First and Deputy First Minister is 'nowhere near enough' to deal with fundamental issues like building peace and reconciliation. Indeed, the Irish News reports today that he believes the pledge to dismantle all peace walls by 2023 is doomed to fail.
