Ugandan writer wins commonwealth short story prize.

Ugandan writer Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi has been announced the winner of the Commonwealth short story prize for 2014. The judges praised Jennifer's tale, "Let's Tell This Story Properly", for its risk- taking, grace and breadth. The prize was presented in Kampala this evening by the novelist and short story writer Romesh Gunesekera.
