As ISIS insurgents threaten to march on Baghdad the authorities in Iraqi Kurdistan have taken control of the oilfields around Kirkuk. Peter Kiernan from the EIU explains the background to the Kurds desire for autonomy and the importance of the oil and gas in Iraq's northern region.
