Is there demand for a mosque in Belfast? Should it be publicly funded as the Deputy First Minister suggests?

The Deputy First Minister has said public funds should be used to construct a mosque in Belfast if a suitable site can be found. Martin McGuinness made the comment at Stormont yesterday - but is there a demand for a mosque here? What difference would it make to the Islamic community here?
