In that spirit, we got the lovely novelist and Brighton light Jo Rees to attend the Dark and Stormy Festival of crime writing in Brighton. Intrepid Jo nabbed festival co-founder and author Julia Crouch (who coined the phrase: domestic noir!) as well as independent publisher Candida Lacey. They discuss why Brighton and crime go hand in bloody hand and the importance of editing in creating an author.
