The French far-right party, Front Nationale, emerged victorious in Sunday's European election.

Today, a triumphant Marine Le Pen swept into Brussels. The leader who's anti-immigration, and wants to pull her country out of both the euro and the European Union, immediately set about the task of uniting like-minded MEPs.

The electorate's shift to parties which were once on the fringes of mainstream politics was mirrored across Europe. There is though growing concern at the impact the free movement of labour has had on Europe.
