NEWS: Typhoid - 50 Years On

As Aberdeen marks the fiftieth anniversary of a typhoid outbreak, we've been speaking to one of those who were infected.

Author Sheena Blackhall spent three months in hospital in 1964 - one of hundreds who caught the highly contagious bug.

Thankfully no-one died in the outbreak, one of the last of its kind to be seen in the UK.

Sheena's been speaking to Northsound's Finlay Duncan about how the outbreak affected her, her family and the city as a whole:
