Illegal off-road motorcyclists are a menace on parts of the South Downs every summer.
A new initiative called Sussex Pathwatch has now been set up to encourage walkers to report anything suspicious to a designated police team.
I've been out with farmer Annie Brown, stockman Tristan Driver and South Downs Ranger Phillipa Morrison Price.
