Thousands of people have been on the streets of Venezuela's capital Caracas in the last few hours, marking the first anniversary of the death of former president Hugo Chavez. Tanks, fighter jets and soldiers joined the celebrations, with his successor and self-styled son and heir Nicolas Maduro standing in an open top limousine as it was driven along the Avenue of Heroes in the centre of the capital. For weeks there've been violent clashes between pro and anti government supporters in which at least 18 people have died as unrest over Mr Maduro's rule has grown.

In this clip we hear from Irene Caselli the BBC's correspondent in Caracas and Maryclen Stelling an outspoken supporter of President Maduro. The BBC's Lucy Burton also looks out how the unrest has played out on social media.
