Electric cars heading to a showroom near you?

Every office has its petrol head employee and the Business Unit at the BBC is no different. Ours is reporter Theo Leggett and we've indulged him this week: we sent him off to the Geneva Motor Show. But he hasn't been test driving Ferraris - instead he found that that most of the cars on display there are electric ones. So are electric cars about to go mainstream?
