Cars are often thought of as boys toys. But the biggest car company in the world, General Motors, now has a new chief exec....and she's a girl. Her name is Mary Barra - and she's the first woman ever to head a major car company. And even though the car industry has perhaps been seen as a male bastion should we really be surprised any longer when a woman gets the top job in any company?

We brought together one of Britain's most famous fund managers. Nicola Horlick - she's a woman. And Professor Doug Branson, author of the book the Last Male Bastion - he's a man. We asked them whether they were surprised by Mary Barra's appointment.
