It can be hard for the offspring of successful artists to be taken seriously in their own right which was why debut novelist Rosa Rankin Gee was pleased as the proverbial punch when she won Shakespeare and Company’s inaugural Paris Literary Prize. They had no idea that she was a woman let alone Maggie Gee’s daughter. She tells Donna how she turned the award winning novella into a stunning new novel, The Last Kings of Sark.
