The Historic Northeastern Bar

I make a visit to the historic Northeastern Bar in Cloquet, Minnesota. It is located on an island in the St. Lewis River. This bar is only one of a handful of structures to have survived the 1918 fire which destroyed the city. During its heyday, at the turn of the 20th century,' it served the lumberjacks who ferried Logs down the river to the nearby sawmills. Ladies of the evening hosted some of its Clientele in a couple of the rooms upstairs. In the recent past, it has been the backdrop for several movies. They include: Iron Will, Older Then America, and Lumber Jill.
