Sikh temples and same sex marriage
A leading Sikh is calling on gurdwaras to stop conducting civil marriages because of worries of legal action. Harmander Singh of Sikhs in England is warning that they could face problems if they refuse them to gay couples in future. The government says religious institutions have nothing to fear because the same sex marriage law, passed last week, allows religious institutions to opt out.
