Hubble Discovers a Planetary Graveyard -- Eugene Moon

The Hubble Space Telescope has found rocky remains polluting the atmosphere. Although white dwarfs with polluted atmospheres have been observed, this is the first time evidence of planetary system has been discovered. Jay Farihis team, from the University of Cambridge used Hubble Cosmic Origins Spectrograph to detect fain signatures of Carbon and Silicon.
