Does it matter whether you’re convincing?

Do you ever watch political debates? Have you ever been convinced by the other side when you’ve already formed your view already? I think it’s rare. It reminded me that so often when we make arguments for what we believe in, we are really vigourous and empasssioned and our supporters love it and us by association. However, what’s the point of it if ‘we’re preaching to the choir’ so to speak. Are we just boosting our own ego? I think that’s true when we forget about all our audience and focus on the ones that are with us already.

This is Fiona Kearns convinced that easy wins are not wins at all.
