Another row at Belfast City Hall, this time over remembering two British army corporals murdered in West Belfast 25 years ago
More angry words at Belfast City Hall. And once again, our politicians are at loggerheads over dealing with our troubled past, and who can be called a victim. Last night, DUP councillors proposed a motion on the murders 25 years ago of Army corporals David Howes and Derek Wood. But Alliance tabled an amendment, with a general condemnation of all murders in the Troubles. The DUP are now on the attack, accusing Alliance of losing its moral compass. Alliance says its approach can help N Ireland move forward. Can we expect yet more division in the council chamber in the months ahead?
