£53 is the lowest amount that a jobseeker under the age of 25 will receive in benefits.
The work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith told the BBC he could live on £53 spending money per week.
Since making this claim over 25,000 people have gone online to sign a petition calling for Mr Duncan Smith to try living this way for a year.
