Hirsty & Wes - Hit 40 meets BBC Top 40

Chart presenters are often rivals. After all, the original commercial Network Chart with Kid Jensen was established to be just that: to take on the might of the BBC countdown.

So, it's not often that two competitors get together. But it happened in the early 2000s, when Wes Butters (then BBC Top 40 presenter), and the great Simon 'Hirsty' Hirst (Hit 40 presenter) performed alongside each other - albeit in Hirsty's bedroom studio in Yorkshire. Whilst they were there, they happened to press the 'record' button on Hirsty's Revox.
